St. Joseph's Day Care Centre FormbyCompletion photographs coming soon
St. Joseph's is a centre of excellence for people with learning and physical disabilities which is set amidst rural pine forests near Formby Point on the North Sefton Coast. Offering high quality residential and day services within a care home setting, the centre aims to respond to the changing needs of society and the individuals who access it's services. Since 1939 when the house and grounds were donated by the Weld Blundell Family, it has seen many changes and to date the site has been totally rebuilt to a very high standard to cater for residential and day care visitors.
T.M.Taylor won the tender in the spring of 2005 to extend and construct the new Hydrotherapy Facilities, a type of construction new to the company. It turned out to be quite a challenge, but with the guidance of CCG Architects of Ormskirk and the Members of the Friends of St Joseph's, a dedicated group of people that seem to be full time fund raisers, the construction got under way.

With the assistance of W M Taylor Pools (specialist pool contractors) and Westholme (specialist hoist and lifts) together with Pressalit Care (specialists in fittings for handicapped persons) the task of construction and fitting out became a team effort.
The completion of the project on time meant that those in need of the pool facilities were delighted, and the finished result met everyones expectations. It was this joy that was felt in great abundance at the opening ceremony that really made all the effort seem worthwhile
